Police Rescue L.I. Man Who Fell Through Ice Trying To Rescue Dog
MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Police in Massapequa rescued a man who fell through the ice at Caroon Lake Saturday.
The 68-year-old ended up in freezing water up to his chest after going out onto the ice to get his dog, CSB2 reported.
Police used a ladder to pull them both to safety.
The man was taken to a local hospital and treated for hypothermia.
