Paris Theatre, Last Single-Screen Movie Theater In Manhattan, Closes
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Manhattan's last single-screen movie theater has shut its doors.
Midtown's Paris Theatre posted a sign in its window Thursday saying "Unfortunately, our lease has ended and the Paris Theatre is now closed."
The 71-year-old venue opened in 1948.
Actress Marlene Dietrich did the honors, cutting the ribbon.
