Police: Off-duty NYPD officer injured during attempted robbery on Upper East Side
NEW YORK -- An off-duty NYPD officer was injured in an attempted robbery on the Upper East Side on Tuesday.
It happened just after 9 p.m. on East 90th Street and First Avenue.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect took off on a motorcycle.
