Man Pushed Onto Subway Tracks, Hit By Train In Chelsea, Police Say
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating after a man was pushed on to the subway tracks in Chelsea early Sunday morning.
According to police, the victim was struck by a train after falling on to the tracks at West 18th Street and 7th Avenue at around 7:45 a.m.
1010 WINS' Roger Stern reports the victim and several friends were waiting on the subway platform after a night of drinking at a nearby bar.
Police say one of the victims' friends pushed the man onto the tracks.
The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital with a cut to his toe and a bruised head.
An investigation is ongoing.
