CrossBar is Todd English's newest eatery in the Limelight Marketplace. Located in the former rectory of the church, the décor echoes the gothic theme with wood pew banquettes and a rich red and black color scheme. The menu is similarly eclectic including snacks such as lobster guacamole (pictured) and bacon jam, a great Cubano sandwich with tasso ham, roasted shoulder, pickles and manchego and pulled pork tacos. But you're still thinking about that bacon jam, aren't you?

Gyro Grill sits a short distance south of Queens Center on Woodhaven Boulevard, but is well worth the travel: the menu boasts an authentic array of Mediterranean cuisine at its finest, and for quite inexpensive as well. The sandwiches - which come in two sizes, 'snack' and 'regular' - range in price from $4.50 to $6.95, and a combo-two-meat sandwich will run you $7.95. The entire menu is reasonably priced; even the plates, which come with a choice of lemon potatoes, french fries or rice pilaf, and choice of side salad (Greek, garden or Caesar), and pita with tzatziki, all hover around the $10 mark. With protein options like gyro, chicken, souvlaki, falafels, there's something to please everyone here. Give it a try!

One of the very few restaurants in NYC serving beer brewed on premises, 508 Gastrobrewery sets itself apart by also offering a rather delicious lunch menu as well: such special treats as fresh housemade pasta accompanied by wild boar, lamb, short rib meatballs (!), roasted duck or truffled mushrooms, or the firegrilled flatbread pizzas, house smoked BBQ,... and then the sandwiches. A healthy variety of sandwiches, the 10 oz. short rib burger (pictured) is a juicy patty bursting with flavor and fat, one of the real standouts on the menu. Go in today and try it, and happily drink your way through the beer as well - we won't tell your boss.
