1/10 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Hello, everybody! Hope you managed to stay as dry as possible this morning! As expected a wind-driven rain moved through the Tri-State region and some folks got more than 2 inches in the rain bucket! The rain will be more spotty in nature this afternoon, but a few downpours are possible through early evening. It'll be quite warm, too, with a high of 60 degrees -- that would tie a 140-year-old record!
Expect a big change in the forecast for the days ahead. We'll have temps plunging a good 20-30 degrees tonight, and we'll be stuck in the 30s tomorrow. A stiff breeze will make it feel more like the 20s. We knew the warmth couldn't last!
If you're looking for snow, you'll only have to wait until Tuesday night! A quick-moving clipper system may bring the first coating of the year to many spots. Won't be enough to close the schools, but could still make for slick spots on the road. Overall, it appears that we'll be in a more seasonable pattern for the week ahead.
Check back soon!
