10/28 CBS2 Evening Weather Headlines

Good evening everyone.

The wet forecast has unfortunately come true. On & off showers and storms will continue to fall through the night into Thursday morning.

We've seen over an inch of rain in New Jersey by this evening and we can expect another .5" to 1.5" for some by the morning commute.

We've even seen some localized flooding in the Rockaways and a downed tree in Queens. The rain has fallen pretty much as forecast even though we will have a lull tonight, DO expect a rumble or two overnight.

The early morning commute could be tough for a little while. We retain our mild temps tomorrow however so a decent afternoon is on tap.
