With the originally scheduled performer stuck in traffic, West Virginia police officer Carlton Smith stepped up and saved the day.
Given just five minutes' notice, Smith eventually went out and performed the national anthem in front of a packed house before the West Virginia men's basketball team took on Kansas last Tuesday.
Boomer and Craig talked about Smith's admirable efforts, before putting poor Jerry Recco on the spot. From there, we learned a little something about the Blonde Bomber and what he thinks of his radio partner's appearance.
