Boomer & Carton: Mets Find Themselves In 'Un-Familia' Territory

Subscribe to the Boomer & Carton Podcast »

The Mets took one on the chin in Kansas City early Wednesday morning, falling to the Royals in 14 innings in Game 1 of the World Series.

Boomer and Craig dragged themselves into the Allstate Studio a few hours later and discussed the 5-4 defeat and deficit now facing the Mets.

Matt Harvey didn't have his best stuff and his defense let him down early on. Jeurys Familia made one bad pitch and then David Wright made a big error at a very bad time.

Boomer said that although he is "disgusted right now," he can take solace in the fact that Jacob deGrom will get the ball in Game 2 on Wednesday night. Craig, on the other hand, made no bones about it, telling fans they "should be miserable today because (the Mets) let one get away."
