B&C Morning Show: Yankees Lose, Jerry Updates, Craig Humps
Bartolo Colon pitched well enough last night to take the mound in the 6th inning locked in a 1-1 tie with the Toronto Blue Jays in the Bronx. Then the flood-gates opened and Colon unraveled, yielding 5 runs in the 6th. When the dust settled, the Yankees were on the bad side of a 7-3 loss.
Jerry "Rello" Recco began his update recapping the Yanks' defeat and pointing out Colon's bad body language when things don't go his way on the mound. Craig described it as Colon going limp, which grabbed Boomer's attention. We also heard from Joe Girardi, Derek Jeter and Curtis Granderson following the game.
The Mavericks trailed the Thunder by 15 points, with 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter last night in Oklahoma City and somehow managed to force OT and eventually win 112-105. Dirk Nowitzki dropped 40 and the Mavs now hold a 3-1 lead over Kevin Durant and the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
From the NFL, Plaxico Burress is scheduled to be released from prison in two weeks and Philadelphia Eagles' tight end thinks Plax will pick right up where he left off before being locked up. Craig was more concerned about what activities Burress may partake in upon his release...
