B&C Morning Show: Time To Panic In Yankee-Land
With last night's 11-5 loss to the Royals combined with the Rays' 7-4 win over the Indians, the Yankees wake up this morning in 2nd place in the AL East. According to Boomer & Craig it's probably a good time to start panicking in "Yankee-Land" -- Ahhhhh...
After losing 2 of 3 at home to the Royals, the Yankees will welcome the Red Sox to the Bronx for a 3-game series starting tonight. Boomer & Craig see a lot of problems with this Yankees team and wonder how much farther they might fall in the standings with Boston in town and a trip to Tampa Bay on deck.
As for the Mets, Carlos Beltran more than made up for the absence of David Wright and Ike Davis yesterday in Colorado, as the Mets' right fielder hit 3 home runs in a 9-5 win. Boomer & Craig suspect Beltran's contract expiring at the end of the season may have something to do with his recent surge. Either way, Mets fans should just be happy he is giving them a reason to watch.
With the Yankees and Mets scheduled to square off in a "Subway Series" next weekend at the Stadium, Craigie says they could have similar records...
