B&C Morning Show: Those Gritty Bombers Take Two; Depleted Giants Prepare For Panthers
The Yankees swept a doubleheader from the Blue Jays on Wednesday at the Stadium, thanks to some brilliant pitching courtesy of Andy Pettitte and David Phelps and a memorable performance from Ichiro Suzuki. On top of all that, Derek Jeter got his 200th hit of the season, the 8th time the Captain has accomplished that feat.
Bottom line is the Bombers were solid all around, and because of that they now hold a 1/2 game lead over the Orioles, who won once again, 3-1 over the Mariners in extra-innings last night.
Moving right along, when the New York Football Giants take on Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, they won't only be without Ahmad Bradshaw, David Diehl and Domenik Hixon, as we learned that Hakeem Nicks will also miss tonight's game.
Needless to say, the defending Super Bowl Champions will have their work cutout for them in Carolina, so Boomer offers a recipe for success that includes some solid play out of the defensive line and a whole host players that will need to seize the opportunity that lies before them...
