B&C Morning Show: Mets' 'Big Pelf' Has To Be Better
The Mets won Friday night behind a strong pitching performance by R.A. Dickey and their bullpen. After dropping Game 2 on Saturday, Sunday afternoon in the Bronx became the all important "rubber game" and the Mets had their #1 pitcher, Mike Pelfrey, on the hill.
Big Pelf pitched 6 strong innings for the "Not So Amazin's" but failed to get out of the 7th -- and when the inning concluded the Yanks had put up an 8-spot and were well on their way to the win. Boomer & Craig agree that Pelfrey has got to be better, but unfortunately for the Mets and their fans, performances like this have become all too commonplace.
Chalk this one up as just another frustrating loss for the Mets. Boomer & Carton opened up today's edition of the "Morning Extravaganza" reacting to the Subway Series.
Boomer also was happy to collect his "hundy" as his Maryland Terps beat Craig's Syracuse Orange(men) in the NCAA lacrosse quarterfinals...
