B&C Morning Show: Jets' Rex Sends A Sort-Of Warning To Cowboys Fans

Jerry Recco began his update with a little preview of tonight's NFL season opener between the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers.

Boomer will be making the trip to Lambeau field to call the action for Westwood One (the game can be heard on WFAN following the Mets-Braves game).

Then we heard from Jets head coach Rex Ryan, as he issued a warning of sorts to Cowboys fans about wearing their team's colors to MetLife Stadium Sunday night.  Craig suspects this is a ploy to sell tickets to the game, which is not yet sold out.

Either way, Rex's comment could be perceived as reckless and he probably should have refrained from making them in the first place.

The Yankees played in the slop yesterday afternoon in the Bronx and then proceeded to play like slop on the field, which led to a 5-4, 11 inning loss to the Orioles.  Eduardo Nunez accounted for two of the four Bombers' errors and afterward his teammate Alex Rodriguez defended him.

A.J. Burnett allowed 4 runs in his 6 innings of work, but did not factor into the decision and according to him kept the Yankees in the game as well as he could - whatever that means.

After managing a first inning run against the Marlins, the Mets held on  to get a 1-0 win in down in Florida.  R.A. Dickey provided 7 strong innings and for his efforts earned his 8th win of the season...
