B&C Morning Show: Feel-Good Friday
This action-packed Friday edition of the Morning Extravaganza began with some good vibes, as Boomer was beaming after staying up late to watch the Mets and being rewarded by Zack Wheeler's 12 strikeouts in his six innings of work against the Padres in San Diego. It was good for a no-decision or a "Harvey," if you will. In a season where the Mets are currently 18 games out of first place, Boomer sees a very bright future for his Amazin' Mets.
Craig, on the other hand, was all sorts of pumped up about the Yanks, despite their 8-4 setback to the Angels yesterday afternoon. The reason for Craig's elevated excitement level is that "his" Yankees are set to embark on an all-important, three-game series with the first-place Red Sox in Boston tonight.
So that, in addition to the news that MLB is set to institute expanded instant replay beginning next season and both the Jets (vs. Jags) and the Giants (vs. Colts) playing their second preseason games, Boomer and Craig had plenty to talk about while kicking off a Friday radio program...
