B&C Morning Show: Devils Draw Even; Boomer On Edge

A decision was made to open up Thursday's edition of the Morning Extravaganza with a montage of Boomer (Muppet Boomer, actually) making contact with the Stanley Cup.

The legendary hardware was was present in the Allstate Studio on Wednesday before the Blueshirts' 3-2 loss to the Devils.  This decision was not met warmly by Boomer, who took the gesture as a slight and now feels like everyone on the staff (mainly Craig) is against him. Uncle Booms has decided to move forward on that notion.

What does all of that mean you ask?  It meant that Boomer was on edge and Craig -- and his Muppet -- better be sure to watch out.  The Booms felt like Craig - who claims to be a Rangers fan - was taking way too much joy in his pain and instructed his radio partner - and supposed BEF - to grow up.

It was kind of hard to take Boomer seriously considering he was undressing his own Muppet at the time, not caring for the 'Nobody Cares About Hockey' T-shirt put on the little guy prior to the show.

So it was a pretty tension filled open to today's radio program and Craig added to the mix by declaring that Marty Brodeur's second-period kick-save from his belly on Marian Gaborik was the greatest of all-time -- let the debate begin...
