B&C Morning Show: Chris Canty Talks Giants With Boomer & Carton
Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty called into to the program -- and after tackling some phone problems, he had a pretty entertaining conversation with the morning show's Dynamic Duo.
Craig asked the third-year Giant how he has adjusted to playing in New York (he was born in the Bronx - but played his first four seasons in Dallas) and if he has been able to avoid the gold-diggers in the Tri-State area. So far so good, according to Canty.
Getting to the action on the field, Canty was pretty loose-lipped regarding the health of his teammates - Justin Tuck and Osi Umentiora - as he expects both of them to be on the field.
Canty talked about guarding against a letdown in Arizona, after Big Blue's huge road win last Sunday over the Eagles. He also mentioned the job Victor Cruz did filling in for Mario Manningham last week, praising the 2nd year receiver's preparation and penchant to make the big play.
Having covered all the basis regarding the football aspect of the conversation, Craig expressed concern for Canty's social life, based on not reading any salacious stories involving the single 28 year-old. Craig even offered to be his wing-man and suggested - what he called - a fool proof way to to talk with the lovely ladies.
Canty entertained the thought, time will tell if he actually takes Craig up on his offer though (I'm guessing he does not).
After they said their goodbyes, Dominique informed Boomer & Craig that the fool-proof ruse to lure woman Craigie mentioned does not work - I hope for Craig's sake Canty was not listening at that point...
