B&C Morning Show: Celebrating America, Fooing Philly
On this, the eve of our country's independence, Boomer and Craig were chomping at the bit to get this very special edition of the Morning Extravaganza underway - which they did by talking about the Yankees' 4-3 loss to the Rays at Tropicana Field.
And of course they talked about the three-game series which will get underway tonight at Citi Field when the Mets 'welcome' in the Phillies.
After breaking down the Bombers set-back, disseminating blame between David Robertson, Mark Teixeira and Joe Girardi and then putting things in perspective as far as the Yanks are concerned, Craig decided to go back down the 'FU Philly' road -- which clearly made the Blonde Bomber uncomfortable.
Craig on the other-hand, he clearly wasn't concerned with his radio partner's comfort level, as he proceeded to push the 'FU Philly' parameters - complete with a montage of school children, ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade, uttering the controversial phrase a while back.
From the baseball diamond to the Brooklyn hardwood, as the Nets worked out the framework for a deal with the Hawks, which will land them Joe Johnson in exchange for some expiring contracts and a draft pick - the deal can't be made official until July 11th. With the acquisition, it is clear the Nets have sent a message to the Knicks and apparently they might not be finished.
So as Craig aptly put it, today was a day to be 'July 4th-ing our faces-off' - albeit on July 3rd - but I think ya'll get the idea...
