B&C Morning Show: Bobby V Hates The Yanks, Knicks Ready To Roll
Booby Valentine was the manager of the New York Mets from 1996-2002, leading them to the World Series - which they eventually lost to the Yankees 4-1 - so he knows a thing or two about how things work here in the Big Apple. On December 2, 2011 Valentine was introduced as the manager of the Boston Red Sox - replacing Terry Francona - and since then he has wasted little time in stoking the long-standing rivalry between the Sox and Yanks.
Yesterday, Bobby V went out of his way to take shots at both the Yankee Captain, Derek Jeter and Craig's man-crush, Alex Rodriguez. On the surface it doesn't seem all that out of the ordinary for someone from the Red Sox to be taking shots at someone on the Bombers, Boomer thinks the whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion. Craig on the other-hand feels that Valentine's behavior should be a concern, considering for one that it is only February 29th. Craig referenced mental anguish and tried his best, along with Boomer, to figure out where Valentine's hatred for the Yankees stems from.
As for the Knicks, they will be back in action tonight, looking to improve their 17-18 record at the Garden against the Cavs. Amar'e Stoudemire stated that he is ready to play in the second-half, which was nice to hear. Boomer & Craig discussed the Knicks outlook moving forward, although Boomer had a little trouble focusing based on Craig's unusual, orange hue - which he claims is not from a tanning salon or courtesy of a spray-tan, citing a trip to Florida over the weekend as the cause of his sudden darker complexion - Hmmmm?!
Boomer certainly wasn't buying it and if you take a look at the photo below, you'll understand why....
