B&C Morning Show: An Update With A Happy Ending
Jerry Recco's first update of the morning was chock full of information from everything that went on over the weekend in the world of sports, including Andy Pettitte's long-anticipated return - which resulted in a 6-2 Bombers loss.
Despite not pitching well, Pettitte left the mound to a standing ovation - which Craig didn't understand. Craig also was a bit baffled as to why Suzyn Waldman was talking about happy endings following the lefty's somewhat-shaky performance against a less than stellar Seattle lineup.
As for the Mets, they lost to the Marlins 8-4 thanks to another blowup courtesy of their 'closer' Frank Francisco, who imploded Friday night as well.
Both the Yanks and the Mets and Yanks are currently 2.5 games out of first place in their respective divisions.
The Rangers took care of business Saturday night at the Garden, beating the Capitals 2-1 and now prepare to welcome in the Devils for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which gets underway tonight.
