Good evening,

It has been a very, very hot day today. Temps have soared into the upper 90s around the area and we have hit a record! 97° set back in 1919 shattered the 93° they hit back then.

A hazy sun filtered in this afternoon and the humidity was only at a moderate level.

Tomorrow, another hot one. Could be the second heat wave of September and the third of the season.

We do have some potentially heavy rain slated for late Wednesday into Thursday. One to two inches expected with some locally heavy amounts likely.
