9/10 CBS2 Thursday Morning Weather Headlines

Good morning!

The heat has broken across the area, but humidity remains as we have are just ahead of a warm/cold front that will be giving us a few healthy showers today. On-and-off rain is expected, and any training showers will dump some heavy downpours.

Skies will be stormy almost all day, but do not expect a wall of water. Their will be breaks, but the clouds should stick around. A widespread 1-2" of rain is expected, some see more.

Tonight, the rain wraps up after 1 a.m. or so, and the front will finally clear after that.

Expect a much better day Friday with sun returning afternoon. The weekend is cooler near 80° with some rain possible Sunday.
