7/10 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! We're doing much better today in the weather department with partly sunny skies and temps rebounding into the low 80s. There's a slight chance of a passing shower, mainly for locations north and east of the city. But the bigger story is the dropping humidity into this evening as drier air moves on in!
A few clouds overnight with comfortable temps in the 60s... even some 50s for the NW suburbs. Tomorrow will be beautiful as high pressure moves in. Mostly sunny and temps in the upper 70s and low 80s. Tuesday still looks good as well with a mix of sun & clouds and temps climbing into the mid 80s.
We're tracking another chance of a heat wave as we head into mid and late week. High pressure moves offshore and will help pump the heat and humidity back into the Tri-State. Temps will be back into the low 90s, especially for Thursday and Friday, with a thunderstorm chance returning.
Enjoy the gorgeous start to the work week!
