By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist
It will remain brutally cold this afternoon with highs only getting into the upper teens; wind chills will struggle to even reach 5°. The good news is there will be plenty of sunshine for all.
The winds ease up a bit tonight, but it will be very cold again. Low around 14°.
Saturday morning will start quiet, but the clouds will quickly fill in... system inland will deliver some snow across our NW counties before noon and overspread the remainder of the area through the afternoon and evening hours. Snow will then continue through the overnight hours and wrap up early Sunday as we see rapid intensification of our storm off the coast... wind gusts overnight into Sunday ranging from 45 to 60 mph with widespread sub-zero wind chills!
It looks like we may be in for our coldest morning of the season come Monday (Presidents' Day) with lows in the single digits and wind chills near -15°! Highs will only peak in the low 20s.
