12/31 CBS2 New Year's Eve Thursday Morning Weather Headlines

Good Thursday morning and Happy New Year's Eve, folks! We'll have a chilly and foggy start this morning but some sunshine will return for this afternoon. It'll be a pleasantly cool day with a high of 50, well above normal... and temps in Times Square will be right around 40 when the ball drops at midnight.

The New Year will start off a little cooler with highs in the mid 40s and partly sunny skies. Things look dry and seasonably chilly through the weekend with temps in the low and mid 40s.

A true wintry chill takes hold Monday as we start below freezing and only make it to 39 degrees... but low 40s return to round out the week.
