Measles spread

The list of states affected by the measles outbreak is growing. Public health officials in New Jersey are investigating whether a 1-year-old has the disease. An Ohio high school student is also being tested. Each could be the first case in those states this year. CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds reports from Palatine, Illinois, where officials are trying to pinpoint the source of a daycare center measles outbreak.

Peace proposal

The pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine reached agreement with government forces on a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians from the epicenter of fighting today as German and French leaders prepared to bring their peace plan to Moscow following their meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. CBS News correspondent Elizabeth Palmer was allowed onto a Ukrainian military base near the front line yesterday. Soldiers told her they were short of some things, but not desperate for high-tech American weapons. The local commander told Palmer his men don't need any military help from the United States -- yet.

Sending weapons?

It's been nearly one year since pro-Russian separatists began seizing territory in the Crimean region of eastern Ukraine, enabling Russia to annex the peninsula and set off months of increasingly bloody clashes between pro-Russian forces and the Ukrainian government. Now, President Obama is coming under increasing pressure from Democrats, Republicans, and former defense and national security officials to do what he has resisted for months: send lethal weapons to the Ukrainian government.

Road hazard

America was once the land of transportation marvels: the Erie Canal and the Transcontinental Railroad were the envy of the rest of the world. But that was in the 19th century, and America's transportation system is now at risk of falling into disrepair and gridlock, according to a report published this week from the U.S. Department of Transportation. While the country once built a gleaming interstate highway system, the quality of America's roads is now ranked No. 16 in the world, behind countries such as Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.

Cover up

To the naked eye, it's nearly impossible to tell what has Eric Brenner so excited. For the first time in his life, the 12-year-old has looked in the mirror and seen himself with a right ear. That's the ultimate measure of success for Robert Barron -- the man who designed Eric's prosthetic. CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman reports it's something Barron is used to, because his designs are fit for spies - literally. In his previous life, Barron was an undercover agent, creating disguises for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Grey models

Fashion, beauty and even sportswear may not be the industries you'd expect to be dipping into the senior pool but, CBS News correspondent Vladimir Duthiers reports, brands like Barneys New York, Kate Spade, L'Oreal and Speedo are exploring the idea that maybe grey is the new black.

"Sharknado" star

Ian Ziering may have been fired on "The Celebrity Apprentice" earlier this week, but he has another job lined up. You guessed it: another "Sharknado." The former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star is gearing up to shoot the third installment in the popular series. The first made-for-TV film took place in Los Angeles, the second in New York, and "Sharknado 3" is going to wreak havoc all along the Eastern Seaboard. "It's kind of like disaster movie meets road trip," the franchise star told CBS News.

Ed Sheeran

Britain's Ed Sheeran is gearing up for his Grammy performance on Sunday. The red-headed singer-songwriter is also up for a few trophies himself, including album of the year. Sheeran sat down with CBS News correspondent Anthony Mason to talk about how he became a phenomenal one-man show.
