According to Minneapolis police, officers responded around 2 a.m. to the 400 block of 2nd Avenue North after receiving a report that someone had been shot.
There was a large police presence near the intersection of 4th Street North and 2nd Avenue North just before 2 a.m.
Law enforcement later executed a search warrant at his residence, where they found a long gun that is believed to be involved in the incident.
The driver was not injured in the incident. The suspect is now being held on attempted homicide charges.
