The Trump campaign is criticizing Gov. Tim Walz for supplying tampons in schools. But advocates say it's essential for many students.
Last summer, a group of students teamed up with a nonprofit to get dispensers for period products in school bathrooms. Soon after, female legislators sponsored a bill to get every school on board with the change as part of their education spending package.
"You can be a small seed, but as soon as you speak up, you can sprout to be something great," said Queen Nyakelga.
