MINNEAPOLIS — High pressure moves in and the sunny skies take over the entire weekend.

Saturday's high will top out at 76 degrees in the Twin Cities while maintaining a nice breeze.

A warm, dry and windy weekend has caused the National Weather Service to issue a Fire Weather Watch for several counties in southwest and south-central Minnesota from Saturday afternoon until Saturday evening.  A Fire Weather Watch means critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.

The weekend is going to feel warm and will totally convince people that it's summer. It's not, but it may hit closer to 80 than the lower 70s on Saturday and again Monday.

As such, WCCO is officially declaring Sunday a #Top10WxDay! It'll be a day filled with sunshine, highs in the 70s for many, and winds are trending down.

A weak system will likely pass north of the metro and western Wisconsin on Saturday, but another system may be close enough to bring showers and thunderstorms on Monday.

Tuesday may also be a rainy one, with cooler temperatures following that system.
