This might be THE fattest bear we have ever seen in our area! How much do you think this porker weighs?!
Unfortunately, we only got one video of this beauty but it is enough to appreciate the bear's curves and figure...it worked hard for that body!
We are still going through trail camera footage from this past summer and fall where we are finding and trying to share some gems like this! With the number of cameras we have out, it takes quite an effort to get through all of the footage.

Then, on Monday, another video was posted showing a black wolf that the group says is the "arguable best" footage that the project has captured of such an animal.
The black wolf is back and what a nice look at it!! In fact, this is the most—and arguably best—footage of a black wolf our project has captured!
In September, we shared footage of a lone black wolf traveling down a dirt road. This video was viewed almost 1 million times across our social media. We think this is the same wolf.
Of course, it is hard to know for certain but this black wolf has a white blaze on its chest just like the wolf in the September video, and the blaze looks very similar. Also, this black wolf is a lone wolf as well.
But regardless, pretty neat footage, especially since black wolves are relatively rare in our area!

The Voyageurs Wolf Project is going through trail camera footage from the summer and fall, and says it takes a lot of effort to get through all the footage.
