Winter storm exits Minnesota after dropping considerable snow in parts

A winter storm is making its way out of Minnesota Sunday after dropping several inches of snow on communities across the state.

Snow totals between 6 to 11 inches were reported in southern Minnesota, while the Twin Cities metro area saw between 3-6 inches.

As the storm system exits, a colder air mass will settle in behind it. Sunday's high temperatures are in the low 20 in the metro, but highs will fall into the teens as the work week rolls on. Overnight Thursday may also bring the metro its first subzero low of the season.

Light snow is possible Tuesday night, with more snow chances on Friday and Saturday.

Live updates have concluded, but see previous updates below and watch WCCO News for the latest forecasts.
