The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is still $5 million away from reaching its $8.2 million 2011 Red Kettle Campaign fundraising goal. Scrambling, the charity issued an "urgent plea" for help Wednesday.
As part of The Salvation Army's continued efforts to gain new supporters, three of the charity's most unique fundraising efforts -- the Coin Catch online game, the Online Red Kettle and its iPhone app -- are back in a big way.
