The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Chicago police said around 12:16 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired call in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, where they found the victim lying face down, unresponsive.
Antonio Dickerson, 24, was arrested Tuesday at his home in Alsip, after he was identified as one of three gunmen in the shooting at a Bronzeville barbecue.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the left eye area and was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

The boy has been charged with two felony counts of attempted murder, two felony counts of aggravated battery, and one misdemeanor count of battery.
The ages of the victims range from 14 to 54.

Rosie Chavez, 46, of Berwyn, was arrested and charged with one felony count of first-degree murder and one felony count of kidnapping with force or threat of force.
The shooting happened around 12:14 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Wood Street.
The victims attempted to flee the scene, causing their vehicle to flip and strike two parked vehicles, police said.
Myles M. Stanford, 36, of Lynwood, Illinois, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
Four other officers involved were also taken to the hospital for observation.
Jamal Joiner, 29, and Rasheed Martin, 28, have each been found guilty of the murder.
Prosecutors said Antonio Velasco shot all four victims after spending the evening hanging out with them, smoking marijuana.
