It was an emotional evening in Highland Park Monday night as the City County held its first in-person meeting since the July 4th parade massacre.
"The family continues to be very grateful for and humbled by the outpouring of support and well wishes."

Gov. JB Pritzker is pushing the Illinois State Police to change their policy regarding who can get a Firearm Owners Identification Card.
The proposal comes after the Highland Park parade shooter was deemed a Clear and Present Danger by local police, but Illinois State Police said there was not enough evidence for the designation and the shooter went on to get FOID anyway. CBS 2's Chris Tye reports.

Ravinia, which is itself in Highland Park, closed for a week out of respect to those impacted by the July 4th shooting. Now, the community is hoping music will help heal. CBS 2's Marissa Perlman reports.
