Starting tonight, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan is hosting fundraisers for the families and victims of last summer's deadly parade shooting.
The student, whose age and gender have not been released, is charged with possession of a firearm in a school and disorderly conduct.
The city said there were no reports of shots fired and no one was hurt.
Five students were arrested on Tuesday after a report of a student possibly had a gun at Highland Park High School. Still, no shots were fired, nor was anyone hurt. CBS 2's Andrew Ramos went to the scene.
Then, on April 7 and 8, the fundraiser will continue with professional wrestling on pay per view and at StudioONE in Highland Park.

Jacob Firestone, 18, appeared in Lake County Court on Friday. He is charged along with Nicholas Caban in the death of Matthew Ascaridis, 45, in September.
The suspects have been a focus of investigation in the case from the beginning.

The father of the accused gunman in the Highland Park July 4th parade massacre pleaded not guilty on Thursday to felony charges that he recklessly helped his son obtain a gun license.
"Parents who are reckless when they help their kids get weapons of war are morally and legally responsible for the harm that follows," Lake County State's Attorney Eric Rinehart said.
