The state's health department is now allowing anyone at high risk of the infection to be vaccinated.

Mayor Brandon Scott said that after reviewing water samples the city had obtained clearance from the Maryland Department of the Environment to lift the precautionary advisory for Baltimore County and a part of the city.
Baltimore City officials will be giving their first press briefing in two days regarding the wide-ranging Boil Water Advisory.
Hundreds of water bottle packets were given out at the Halethorpe Fire Station Tuesday afternoon, but the packets ran out by the evening.
With no timeline on when the problem will be resolved, there's not much anyone can do but wait it out.
The University of Maryland Baltimore will head a new Center for Violence Prevention to research the leading causes and lasting impacts of violence and develop policy proposals to address them.
"The health of Baltimore County residents is a top priority, and we want to be sure that everyone in the advisory area is taking all of the necessary precautions," said Olszewski.
Residences and businesses within the following boundaries should boil water for home use: Riggs Avenue to W. Franklin Street from north to south and Carey Street to Pulaski Street from east to west.
Americans ages 12 and older are recommended get the new boosters as long as they've already had their primary series of vaccines.
The announcement comes a day after the CDC approved the adapted vaccine. Everyone 12 and older is eligible for the new shot.
