Shopping In North Dallas Is Some Of The Best In The Country

North Dallas is home to some of the most luxurious shopping in the world and two of the largest shopping malls in the state: North Park Center and Galleria Dallas.
The Galleria Dallas opened its doors at the Dallas North Tollway and 635 in 1982. North Park, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, was built in 1965 on what was then the very northern edge of Dallas on Northwest Highway.
The holiday season is about three weeks away and both shopping centers have big plans on tap. On "Black Friday," North Park will be welcoming Santa back from the North Pole and the Galleria will host its Macy's Grand Tree Lighting Celebration.
