The burglary took place at Ford City Mall, in the West Lawn neighborhood, around 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
Prosecutors said Sunday that the reason 33-year-old Agnieszka Rydzewski wanted Arturo Cantu Jr. dead is she was over the relationship and wanted to be with another man.
CBS Chicago confirmed there was a catalytic converter theft underway when the victim went outside.
"That's just who he is."
"Being able to go here straight from the train without having to transfer to the bus and skip the stops, back on the train, transferring all the cargo with you; it is a lot more convenient."
"Nyla's eyes were still fused. Her tiny lungs were very undeveloped, and her skin was thin and translucent. Nearly see-through, but after Nyla was born, we truly had all hands on deck."
Protesters have been there for two weeks.
"Going through an experience like this where you lose a spouse is really a process of finding yourself again and figuring yourself out again."
Astarte Washington was 15 years old when she suffered multiple broken bones after an unattended Chicago police car rolled over her.
"You would think we could all work together to resolve this."
Tomitra Fluker, a Reclaim 13 survivor advocate who was trafficked by a close family member, wears her trauma proudly.
"Everybody is going to see her story. Hopefully, somebody wants to help."
The formal wear comes from donations from the community and some from teacher Tyesa Walton's own closet.
