Matt Kling joined CBS News Philadelphia as a producer in May 2026. He was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia and returned to the city he grew up in after a decade in the southwestern desert.
A graduate of Holy Ghost Prep in Bensalem, Matt attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. While there, he participated in the award-winning student newscast, Cronkite News, and worked part-time as a reporter for NPR affiliate KJZZ.
