Three downstate casino licenses are up for grabs in New York, and four proposals have been approved.
In Yonkers, the vote was unanimously in favor of a full casino license for MGM Empire City. In Queens, a proposal for Resorts World New York City was also approved.
For the past 14 years, NJ PBS has been run by WNET, channel 13 in New York, which is licensed by New Jersey.
