18-year-old arrested for deadly Long Beach shooting in December

The initial incident happened back on Dec. 10 at around 1:15 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Deputies arrested the driver, who had three prior convictions, after they allegedly triggered a two-car crash that left one person dead and one hospitalized in Dana Point on Friday evening.
It happened just after 6:30 a.m. on southbound lanes near First Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
National Transportation Safety Board investigators say that the small plane had defects in a door that may have contributed to the crash on Jan. 2, 2025.
A homicide suspect was killed during an officer-involved shooting on the Newport Beach Pier after driving onto the pier while fleeing from police, authorities said.
It happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday near S. Central Avenue and E. 46th Street, according to police.

Police say that the daycare's operator was arrested after weeks of investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving a young girl.
