The American Stroke Association is issuing stroke risk guidelines for women to help identify and reduce risk

For the first time, the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association are issuing stroke risk guidelines for women. The ASA is emphasizing that hormones, birth control, pregnancy, and childbirth play a role in a woman's risk of a stroke and that exercise, a low-sodium diet, and regular check-ups go a long way to keeping women heart healthy. A new study reveals pregnant women can reduce the chance that their children will have nut allergies by eating nuts themselves. According to researchers, women who ate peanuts and tree nuts more than five times a week had children who had a 30% reduction in the risk of developing peanut and tree nut allergies. Planned Parenthood CEO on abortion bans

Missouri’s last abortion clinic could be shut down on Friday because the state is refusing to renew Planned Parenthood’s license. This comes just days after Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill into law banning abortion after eight weeks of pregnancy, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Planned Parenthood is suing to keep providing abortions at that clinic with an emergency court hearing Wednesday. The organization’s president and CEO, Dr. Leana Wen, joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss what she is calling a "real public health crisis."
