Harris focuses on unity as campaign nears end

Vice President Kamala Harris crisscrossed Michigan, as her running mate Gov. Tim Walz hit North Carolina and Georgia over the weekend. High-profile surrogates such as former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, along with first lady Jill Biden and second gentleman Doug Emhoff, also campaigned for Harris just ahead of Election Day. Her closing message is about unity, collaboration and freedom. Harris will be in Pennsylvania Monday for her closing rally in Philadelphia.

FBI warns of deepfakes before Election Day

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is warning the public about two videos falsely claiming to be from the FBI on election security. One mentions the apprehension of groups committing ballot fraud and the other has to do with second gentleman Doug Emhoff. The bureau stresses that the videos are not authentic, are not from the FBI and the content they depict is false. CBS News Homeland Security and Justice reporter Nicole Sganga has more.

Here's what to know about election security

The FBI says two fake videos online claim to be from the agency, but they are not. One is about election security, while the other is about Vice President Kamala Harris' husband, Doug Emhoff. U.S. officials think the videos come from a disinformation campaign, backed by Russia. David Becker, the executive director of the Center of Election Innovation and Research, and Chris Kerbs, former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, spoke to "CBS Mornings" about election security.

1 day until Election Day for Trump and Harris

With one day to go until Election Day, Donald Trump's campaign is trying to walk back comments from the former president at a rally on Sunday where he said, "And to get me somebody would have to shoot through the fake news. And I don't mind that so much. I don't mind that." Trump was speaking about the bulletproof glass he's surrounded by at his outdoor rallies when he made the remark. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign is focusing on getting people out to vote. CBS News' Nikole Killion, Weijia Jiang and Anthony Salvanto have the latest news with one day to go in the campaign.
