Greg Carr's commitment to Gorongosa
To protect the wildlife of Gorongosa National Park — including lions, elephants and pangolins — Greg Carr has committed more than $100 million of his personal fortune. "What are you going to do, stick it all in your casket?" he says.

70% of Africa's lions have been lost in the last 50 years, but Gorongosa's lion population is now thriving. 60 Minutes rode with park veterinarian Antonio Paulo as he chased down and tranquilized a lioness to perform an examination — and found a surprise.
Gorongosa's Girls Club
"When we started this program, they didn't know they had this choice." Larissa Sousa leads the Girls Club, which aids girls attending schools around Gorongosa National Park. 60 Minutes met aspiring teachers, park rangers, and nurses.
