Michigan works to expand coronavirus testing

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer extended the state's emergency order after its Republican legislature declined to do so. While the state has worked to ramp up testing, parts are still plagued by critical shortages in staffing and PPE, and some say the efforts to expand COVID-19 tests came too late. Adriana Diaz speaks to one woman who says her hospital worker mother died after being denied a test at the same hospital multiple times for our series, "State of Testing."

WH staff members test positive for COVID-19

Ivanka Trump's personal assistant is among the latest at the White House to test positive for the coronavirus. Vice President Pence's press secretary, Katie Miller, tested positive this week, as well as a White House valet. The White House insists it is taking precautions, but President Trump was not seen wearing a mask at a ceremony for WWII veterans. This comes as whistleblower Rick Bright spoke out on "60 Minutes" after being removed from his job for what he says was "putting science over politics." Nikole Killion looks at the exclusive interview.

Twitter account rates TV personalities' homes

Since coronavirus lockdowns began, people we see on TV have had to trade sleek studios for the backdrop of their own home. Room Rater, a Twitter account created about a month ago, saw a meteoric rise in followers for its impartial, and sometimes harsh judgements on the backgrounds viewers are curiously tuning in to. Claude Taylor, who created the account, painstakingly rates the backdrops of public personalities from Gwenyth Paltrow to CBS News' Ed O'Keefe with the help of his girlfriend and daughter. The White House staffer-turned-interior design judge speaks to Errol Barnett about why he started the account, and talks about a few of his ratings.
