Crowd at Trump rally chants "send her back" about Rep. Ilhan Omar

President Trump said Thursday he was disappointed with his supporters for chanting "send her back" about U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, a naturalized U.S. citizen who came to the country as a Somali refugee. The president also claims that he tried to stop the chant, despite pausing for 13 seconds as the crowed continued its cheer. CBS News chief Congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes and Associated Press White House reporter Zeke Miller spoke to CBSN's "Red & Blue" about the fallout from the rally.

Lawmakers call border facilities "horrifying"

Democrats Joaquin Castro and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were among about a dozen members of Congress who toured southern border facilities Monday. They described deplorable conditions inside the two facilities. Customs and Border Protection is also under fire over a secret Facebook group that includes thousands of current and former agents. The "Squad" on Trump's racist tweets

In an extraordinary rebuke, the House voted to condemn President Trump's attacks against four congresswomen of color as "racist." The four freshmen congresswomen apparently targeted by the president are Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley, collectively known as "The Squad." The Squad sat down with “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King on Capitol Hill for their only joint interview, in which they shared what it's like to feud with the most powerful politician in the country.
