--designers-- me too-- unveiling new collections. Thom Browne, of course, closes out the week. So to help break it all down and the trends that will impact your closet, we're joined by Lauren Sherman. She's a CBS News contributor and a fashion writer and editor at Puck. Lauren, we're so glad to have you here. Thanks for having me.

Fashion week is a big deal for a lot of people in this city. I always think all this work goes into planning these fashion shows, and they're over lickety-split. But yet we all show up to see what's everybody wearing. So Voguerecently said this, "fashion's real reset starts now." What does that mean? I didn't know it needed to be reset. September is like back to school for fashion industry. And the spring collections, everything you'll see in the stores in January and February, is shown now. So it does have that back-- and didn't. New Yorkers start school today? So it's all connected. So what are some of the trends we're going to be seeing? Oh. Who knows? But it probably-- I think there's been a real attention to the body. There will be a lot of dresses. The dress is back. I'm sure we'll see that. But anything goes in fashion these days. It's less about purple and red, even though we love it, and more about--

But you know what's also interesting is to see the celebrities on the runway before. When I saw Tom Brady walking for Gucci, I think it was, I went, whoa, that's new. Travis Kelce and Tommy Hilfiger. You think that there's only going to-- do you think there's going to be more of that? Or do you think this is just a moment in time because they're so hot?

More of that. Brands are spending more and more money on celebrities because they have a great impact. The Travis Kelce campaign with his dog has been huge for Tommy Hilfiger. And they're doing a show on Thursday, and hopefully Travis will show up.

Well, he's also got football. Listen, we all know the dog's name is Wendy. But it benefits-- [LAUGHTER] You knew that, Wendy. And she's cute, too, that white dog. She's gorgeous. Very cute. But it benefits both of them, doesn't it, both sides, the celebrity and the-- because I was surprised to see Tom Brady. Weren't you, Norah-- Yes. --surprised to see Tom Brady on the runway? But he looked good. I wasn't mad about it, as you would say. Yes, he looks really great. But it benefits both of them.

It's a way to stay in the conversation. Tom Brady represents this optimized sexiness, very All-American optimized sexiness that is popular right now. Gucci's commenting on it. It's a big conversation. And also, look, it's a paycheck. These celebrities, they have--

Does Tom Brady and Travis Kelce need a paycheck, Lauren? Come on. I think that-- look, they have a lot of stuff to manage. So can I do-- my thing about Fashion Week, I just want to know what I'm supposed to wear. I think people at home, like all my friends, are like, is there a color that's new this year? Is it-- --a style? --culottes? Is it a style, yeah. Is it culottes? What's the style? What's-- I understand. I think it's not as much about that anymore. It's really about the celebrities in the front row. They should be wearing what you're wearing. You look amazing. Yeah. But a lot of times you see stuff on the runway, and you go, where are they going? Exactly. Where are they going to be wearing that? But that's part of the fun of the fashion show, though. For sure. Everybody-- The whimsy of it, the spectacle of it is all part of it. Yeah, if there were leggings on every single runway and that's it, it would be very boring. The idea is to experiment. Eckhaus Latta, a brand that's showing on Friday night, I feel like people always look-- they did low-slung jeans. That's coming back. If you want a trend, it's low-rise jeans, Norah. Mhm. Well, not everyone can wear those. I like that. It's nice then they're high. Norah could wear them, but I would look like a fool.

I think you would look great. So that's a trend I'm going to pass. What do you think about fast fashion? Does that play a role here? For sure. Zara's been in the news for the last--

Yeah, I love Zara. Zara has kind of elevated so that it's not associated with Shein or whatever. And they have a collaboration coming out in a couple of weeks with Luca Guadagnino. They are doing a collaboration with John Galliano, who was in the news last week because of the Met. And so--

What do you make of that, by the way? I think there were a lot of mistakes made. They probably said go on the exhibit before they should have. And in a year-- And Anna Wintour will be fine. Anna Wintour will always be fine, yes. She will be fine. Thank you. Lauren
