The Federal Trade Commission has ruled against TurboTax, finding parent company Intuit deceived customers by advertising its tax services as free. Intuit says it has appealed the decision to a federal circuit court.
The refunds are part of a $141 million settlement affecting more than 4 million consumers all 50 states plus Washington, D.C.
