A federal jury in Philadelphia has acquitted a former city police officer of violating a woman's civil rights in an incident linked to a lewd act inside a drug house during a raid.
The alleged victim says she was using drugs in an abandoned house in 2009 when Officer Joseph Harvey (left) got her alone in a bedroom, ordered her to strip, and then performed a lewd act on himself.
Today charges were brought against former Philadelphia Police Officer Joseph Harvey, with deprivation of civil rights under color of law and Philadelphia Police Officer Sean Cahill, 34, of Philadelphia, PA, with making a material false statement.
An off duty New Jersey police officer accused of shooting and killing a man in Maryland has been arrested there.
