Homeowners, renters and business owners in Philadelphia have been made eligible for federal assistance to help recover from the affects of Tropical Storm Lee, which inundated the area with rain and flood waters earlier this month.
The Internal Revenue Service has decided to cut taxpayers in certain New Jersey counties a break in filing their taxes and quarterly payments, because of Hurricane Irene.
Overall, Montgomery County public safety officials say, they feel good about the way the county handled the emergencies that arose out of Hurricane Irene this past weekend.
Cell phone companies say their networks were overwhelmed. In reaction, the Department of Homeland Security sent out a "Tweet" telling people to hang up.
Some two dozen roads throughout Cumberland County remain closed, including one that crosses Seeley Lake. Two sections of Finley Road are gone -- along with most of the lake water.
